The Effect of Interaction between Health Behavior and Working Condition Changes on Depression during COVID-19

Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to determine the interaction between health behavior and working condition changes in individuals with depression.

Methods: We analyzed the data of 222,774 persons from the 2021 Community Health Survey. We conducted a logistic regression analysis to the examine interaction effect between health behaviors and changes in working conditions in individuals with depression.

Results: Increased and decreased physical activity, increased and decreased consumption of instant food and carbonated beverages, increased alcohol consumption and smoking, and negative changes in working conditions were found to be associated with depression. In addition, The changes in the consumption of instant food and carbonated beverages, negative changes in working conditions and depression had positive interactions.

Conclusions: Changes in health behaviors and working conditions were associated with depression.
